In Case You Missed It: South Florida Business Journal features Ceiba Groupe’s Oakland Park development

The South Florida Business Journal recently wrote about our Oakland Park development and highlighted the value of building in urban areas close to major employment hubs.
Our Managing principal Adam Bedzow told the SFBJ that Ceiba picked that location because it’s just east of Interstate 95, while the Cypress Creek office district is on the west side of the highway. The area is home to major employers such as Holy Cross Hospital and Broward Health Imperial Point, as well as Pine Crest School, the best private school in Florida as reported by niche.com.
Ceiba’s success comes from being able to identify areas that are either up-and-coming or underserved as well as projects that fill a void in a particular community. For example, Ceiba plans to build 114 spacious three-story townhomes for rent in Oakland Park. The large three-bedroom and four-bedroom units will have access to a clubhouse, pool and over 200 parking spaces. About 94 of the units would have car ports. The luxury rental community will consist of 14 low-rise buildings.
The project is great for families looking to rent a large townhome near downtown Fort Lauderdale, something that is almost impossible to find at this time. Most market-rate rental developments in Broward’s urban core offer smaller units.
“If you want more space and you want to rent, you don’t have a lot of options,” Adam told the SFBJ. “This is a private, single-family experience you can have through a renting option. We see a growing trend of people renting by choice.”
